Tide Pools

We encounter tidepools between the solid ground of the shore and the depths of the ocean. They are liminal and transitory spaces, not always visible, hosting creatures that adapt to the shifting currents of the sea. Tide Pools is a show about summer, discovery, changing ecosystems, and wonder.  The artists included channel processes of flow and experimentation; boundaries between drawing, painting, sculpture, and craft are fluid and permeable in their hands. They are resourceful and inventive with material, trusting intuition yet remaining careful with form. We see in them a unique and beautiful adaptability, much like the creatures in the tidepools, to the shifting environments of the greater Los Angeles Area and are pleased to present their work as part of Tryst at the Torrance Art Museum.

Please come see the work Friday, August 23- Sunday, August 25th 12-6 pm
